HAUCDC develops safe, affordable, and sanitary housing for workforce residents within Southeast Texas. HAUCDC stimulates the investment of private and public capital, to build and revitalize housing, public and commercial properties. The mission is to improve the structural and mechanical performance / physical appearance of homes in older neighborhoods and combat deterioration.
HAUCDC is a 501c3 non-profit organization created by the Houston Area Urban League in May 2010 to develop affordable housing. To conveniently serve clients within its service area, the HAUCDC office is located at 5330 Griggs Road Suite A113 Houston, Texas 77021. HAUCDC is certified as a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) with the City of Pasadena, Texas. HAUCDC has a seven (7) member Board of Directors and a staff of three (3).

HAUCDC was approved as a Real Estate Owned (REO) donation program recipient through The National Community Stabilization Trust in 2012. Donations have been received from J.P. Morgan Chase and Bank of America. HAUCDC manages a portfolio of over $4,000,000 and has spent more than $1,400,000 on rehabilitating 39 homes over the last 12 months.
